Inspired by the unique shapes of the island’s contours, which Stera has known since childhood, the villa is not just a building but a part of the environment. The raw, structural elements typical of brutalism are juxtaposed with the Mediterranean’s breathtaking natural beauty, blurring the lines between interior and exterior spaces.

The villa’s open floor plan, surrounded by 350m² of winding terraces, tunnels, and ledges, amplifies its integration with nature. Instead of framing the view, the house itself is framed by the almost untamed vegetation of the region, with crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean in the backdrop.

Stera’s design philosophy was to create a “palace to live barefoot,” ensuring the space offers a close, natural experience with the surrounding landscape.
