A Luxury Hotel in Santorini Blends the Greek and Modern Style

Derived from the Greek word ‘ιστορία’, ISTORIA means story. And just like the name, this luxury hotel promises to be the perfect place to make the best narratives in Santorini. Blue sky, fresh breeze, calm water, and breathtaking views are problably the first thought when Santorini comes to mind.  All these concepts are easy to find in the layout of this luxury hotel. ISTORIA is the perfect blend between the greek aesthetic and the contemporary style.  This luxury hotel, designed by the Athens-based firm Interior Design Laboratorium took over an abandoned residence next to the beach, including five stables that the former owner used to keep their dear horses.  Like in a good story where the past help to bring context to the new, at this luxury hotel, it was also important.  The preview narrative from the house was an inspiration for the new project. Some building elements from the original layout remain in the interior of the suits, completing this new narrative and showing an ideal match of the original and contemporary.  The project layout of this luxury hotel aims to be a home far from home. The interior design brings a sense of closeness, peace, and comfort.  All elements – from the color pallet to the objects – help active this desire.  During the building renovation, the architects select materials that combine the island’s traditional techniques and elements from the Mediterranean. The result is a luxury interior design that maintains the greek aesthetic.  The earthy textures and colors inspired this project. In contrast with the dark colors of the volcanic stones, rock, and sand on the beach, the architects choose to use polished screed floors. Wooden furniture and handcraft textiles highlighted this luxury hotel layout and gave a natural vibe to the interior design.  To complete the Greek inspiration, this luxury hotel also has a great outdoor area with a selection of Mediterranean flora that gives the perfect tone to this paradisiac place.  The beautiful work renovation presents this project with the Mediterranean style and invites guests to feel like this is their own luxury home. But to give this feeling, privacy was an essential point of this project.  Each suite has a personal terrace and a breathtaking view of the beach.  Besides the desire to make this luxury hotel a home far from home, ISTORIA features other facilities – a pool bar, a restaurant that serves modern Greek and Mediterranean cuisine, and a Spa- all these places follow the same greek and contemporary aesthetic as the rest of the hotel. This luxury hotel promises to be the perfect scenario for your best memories in Santorini. This fantastic interior design should also be an ideal inspiration for any home decor. This Amazing Hotel in Madrid has a Unique Interior Design

Edition Hotel is now in Madrid, and like the other spaces from the group Marriot, this one has a bold interior design that makes this an amazing hotel.  That Madrid is beautiful and full of attractions we all know. But since April, the city has a new place that is just perfect for the tourists who want to visit the city and stay in a fantastic hotel. We are talking about the Edition Hotel Madrid.  With a dramatic design, Edition Hotel Madrid wants to be more than a place to stay but also a space that reflects the culture, the people, and the city spirit.  The Edition Hotel Madrid is located nearby Plaza Mayor and most city attractions. The building view from the outside is just a brief of what this amazing hotel looks like inside: a modern place that mixes old and new. What gives this tone is the baroque portal that remains from the 18th-century. Projected by the architect John Pawson in collaboration with François Champsaur and supervised by Schrager Company, the hotel brings two different perspectives to the design, making this a special and unique layout.  The project remains the energy and culture of Madrid. This amazing hotel is bold, extravagant, and luxurious like the city. But unlike Madrid which is always full of energy, here we have a mix between energy and tranquility.  For John Pawson, the idea was to create a project where the guest could find these two options – a place full of energy and a space to relax. The way to active it was through the design – there an area with dramatic composition and others with a minimalist style.  An eye-catching point of the building is the spiral staircase. The contrast between the shape and the dark wood sets the style of the rooms. The lightning is also an incredible addition here, and gives a flawless match between modern and vintage. In contrast with the exuberant staircase, the rooms have a comfortable and elegant style. The highlight of this space is the headboards that remember the baroque entrance—the perfect refuge to rest after a busy day visiting the city.  Edition Hotel Madrid shows that it is possible to have vibrant and elegant styles in the same interior design project. This amazing hotel offers harmony between modern and classic. It’s the perfect place to stay and discover an amazing city like Madrid. ARE YOU INTO INTERIOR DESIGN? dream home

Dream Home: The Amazing Athena Calderone’s Townhouse

An old Brooklyn Townhouse attracted Athena Calderone’s attention and after some needed renovations she turned it into her dream home and a perfect family house. Every home tells a story and just like in a book, there are some special chapters. For this one, it’s the story of a meeting with someone that saw the potential for an old townhouse to become an amazing place. It’s the story of how Athena Calderone turned an old townhouse into a stunning shelter. To begin this story we need to talk about the construction of this house. This house dates back to 1800S and had several modifications during the years. It was even converted into four apartments and needed a lot of modifications when Athena and her husband first saw the building. It took three years and a bold renovation work to turn this townhouse into a dream home, but the result is an incredible space perfect for a family that wants to stay in a forever home.   The interior design layout for this townhouse was planned by Athena herself with the architect Elizabeth Robert and the family’s wishes were an absolute priority in this project. Some part of the old story of this townhouse remains in this new version, like the original mantels and an ornate medallion. Besides, some modifications were made, especially in the living room where the walls between this space and the dining room were demolished to create an open space. Besides the amazing renovation work, the decor has a special highlight in this modern townhouse. There is a fusion of cultures, a combination of Italian and French antiques and also a rug from the 18th century that gives a sense of history to this house.  The most eye-catching space in this townhouse is the kitchen. Here the marble counters and the chalky grey cabinetry with Parisian style are the focal points of the room and match perfectly with the decor accessories. This minimalist kitchen is a lovely choice for a dream home. The second floor of the townhouse is entirely dedicated to the couple. The master suite leads to Athena´s walk-trough closet and to her husband’s recording studio. The top floor is where the family room is placed. The dark blue walls and ceiling alongside with the colorful furniture create a truly inspirational and joyful space.   Top floor floor is also a place for Athenas’ sons’bedroom. Although it’s hard to decorate a teenagers’ room, this one is definitely a success. The room is simple but has a subtle masculine touch, that is visible in eye-catching details. This elegant house transit between the minimalist style the furniture and accessories shows how can it be turned into a luxury and stunning home with the right choice and some bold decisions. It has a  unique style, perfect for a dream home story.  This elegant house presents a mix of minimalist style with antique furniture and décor. It creates a very unique space that looks very luxurious and cozy at the same time. ARE YOU INTO INTERIOR DESIGN? Styled by himself, this home is where the Met Gala guest lives. MET GALA 2022 GUEST LIST: SWIZZ BEAT AND ALICIA KEYS Known in the industry for throwing legendary house parties, it would have been a shame to miss Alicia Keys and her husband Kasmeen Dean aka Swizz Beat at the Met Gala red carpet. The couple bought The Razor House, an architectural masterpiece designed by Wallace E. Cunningham that was then decorated by Kelly Behun. While Pete Davidson lives with his mother in Staten Island in New York, Kim is still living in the suburbs of Los Angeles, in the same mansion she once shared with her former husband Kanye West. Styled by AD100 Axel Vervoordt, Kim Kardashian’s home is a mesmerizing minimalist and monochrome temple. MET GALA 2022 GUEST LIST: VANESSA HUDGENS Vanessa Hudgens wasn’t a mere name of this year’s Met Gala guest list. The actress was one of the hosts of the most fashionable evening of the year (alongside Blake Lively who got everyone’s jaws dropped with her custom-made Versace gown). Hudgens stepped onto the Met Gala 2022 red carpet wearing a lavish black lace dress. Off the red carpet, Vanessa Hudgens’s design choices are more tempered. The actress lives in a home in LA with a dreamy landscape design where earthy colors and natural materials steal the show. MET GALA 2022 GUEST LIST: HUGH JACKMAN AND DEBORRA-LEE FURNESS Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness arrived at Met Gala 2022 with the same elegance and passion that they put into their home design. The modern architecture practice Stelle Lomont Rouhani designed a modern house with streamlined and straightforward lines. Collaborating with architect Viola Rouhani and interior designer Eleanor Donnelly, Deborra-Lee Furness designed an interior as zen as it gets. MET GALA 2022 GUEST LIST: NAOMI Naomi doesn’t need any introduction. Anywhere she goes, she gets all eyes on her. The bombshell walked down the Met Gala 2022 red carpet wearing a bejeweled Burberry gown and a 6.6 million dollar necklace. Besides red carpet events, the supermodel is still walking on runaways and starring in fashion campaigns, in addition to being a mother. With a fast-paced lifestyle, is more than natural that Naomi needs to retreat from time to time… and she does it in the utmost comfort of her luxurious villa in Kenya, which is an ode to laid-back opulence where Campbell baths herself

A 3250 SM Mansion Full Of Luxury By Michelle Gerson

A 3250 SQ.M Mansion Full Of Luxury By Michelle Gerson

The transformation of a Gothic Revival 3250 Sq.m Mansion Full Of Luxury by Michelle Gerson in Long Island was based on the idea of go big and have fun. The transformation of a billionaire family’s Gothic Revival mansion in Long Island was based on the idea of go big and have fun that interior designer Michelle Gerson had in mind during the project.  From penthouses in New York to mansions in the Hamptons, Connecticut, and Florida, Michelle Gerson’s projects stand out for their distinctive luxury and irreverence.  Her latest project is a 3250 sq.m Mansion Full Of Luxury on Long Island, near Manhattan, consisting of a two-story house with Gothic influences. With bold wall coverings, layering in textures and accessories and by adding sculptural pieces this Mansion Full Of Luxury as an artistic character. The library is a room that is surprising, a colorful work by street artist Skyler Gray and books with iris bow covers give the built-in black shelves bold counterpoints. Adding some product by Ach Collection to this Mansion Full Of Luxury would be the perfect choice, fun, irreverent and different, would give the high – end to this space. This Mansion Full Of Luxury has six bedrooms, six bathrooms and four powder rooms, and required a transformation to suit the needs of the clients who trusted the designer with her remodeling skills. The designer throughout the project faced some challenges, taking into consideration that during the project the house was still being habitable and the size of the property was giant, making it more complicated to undo and set up a house making it habitable anyway and not create disturbances to those who were living there. In order to highlight the architecture of the property, it was also supposed to introduce luxury and modernity in the spaces.    The Soleil Oval Dining Table by Hommés Studio would be a good choice for an environment like this one, full of luxury and details, giving the touch that would be impossible to pass without giving a second look. The main bathroom contains a Grigio Carnico marble bathtub flanked by foaming vanities in arabescato marble, showing the luxurious and eclectic character of the house. In the music room, we notice a hand-painted wallpaper by Gournay. The living room was made to be a space for the family to gather and socialize, creating a pleasant atmosphere to reflect the personality of the clients. In a space full of round forms like this one, the Kongo Armchair and the Dong Center Table Set by Hommés Studio would fit perfectly, giving it a character of luxury and irreverence in keeping with the style of the entire property. With her unique and eclectic style, Gerson has developed a project that meets the clients needs, a mansion that is theatrical and full of fun.  Before undergoing the complete renovation, the mansion had a very dark interior, where it started by removing all heavy draperies and giving the walls a fresh white paint base, to later add lots of colors and metallic elements, bringing light into the rooms. Taking the house from dark and gloomy to a happy and bright home. The monumental 2.4 meter high Tisserant chandelier in the wall of this Mansion Full Of Luxury and a quirky sculpture by Richard Orlinski, act as a prelude to the final design. A Mansion Full Of Luxury that reveals a coherence between luxury and modernism and perfectly echoes the personality of the clients who highlight a fun and eclectic environment, in keeping with the style of Michelle Gerson, who idealized an irreverent and unique project, perfectly reflected in this property full of specific features and full of luxury. A Balenciaga's London Store Full Of Pink Faux Fur

A Balenciaga’s London Store Full Of Pink Faux Fur

With a maximalist look to launch its Le Cagole collection, Balenciaga’s London Store has been transformed into a bright pink faux fur interior. With a maximalist look to launch its Le Cagole collection, Balenciaga has transformed its London store, Mount Street, into a bright pink faux fur interior.  To celebrate its renowned Le Cagole bag, which is a clear reference to Balenciaga’s maximalist style It Bags, and to launch the collection of accessories and shoes, Balenciaga’s London Store has been convered in pink faux fur, evidencing the maximalist style found in the brand, an iconic look that is extremely common to be found in Balenciaga’s collections. The brand removed everything inside the Balenciaga’s London Store, from accessories, ready-to-wear collections and permanent shelving in the store, and installed temporary metal accessories, taken from the brand’s previous projects and installations. These accessories and displays were wrapped in soft and shiny pink faux fur chosen to convey the idea of extravagance, irreverence and difference, which reflects the maximalist style found in the identity of the Le Cagole bag. Everything in this Balenciaga’s London Store is lined in pink, from shelves, to displays, floors, benches, reflecting the spirit of Le Cagole pop ups. Vogue dubbed Le Cagole the New It Bag, which was designed by Demna, Balenciaga’s creative director, who reinvented one of the brand’s most iconic and well-known bags, the Balenciaga Motorcycle bag.  Nicholas Ghesquiere, creative director for 15 years, first launched the Motorcycle bag that became a staple of the 2000s. The Le Cagole by Demna, the creative director, was initially launched as a collection of handbags, growing to a line of different bags, shoes and purses. Its name is of French origin meaning exaggerated attitude. The pieces are very reminiscent of the original bags, keeping the same details, hardware and rivets, applied to a variety of accessories, such as high-heeled boots, mini bags and handbags with rhinestone embroidery, that can be found in this Balenciaga’s London Store. In the Balenciaga’s London Store store on Mount Street we find from April to June 2022, the Le Cagole pop up with leather lining. Balenciaga presently reusing the metal fixtures and opposites in future events and is looking into ways to use the fur again in different contexts, with each Le Cagole pop up base being made from reused metal from previous events, and is investigating the best way to donate the fake pink faux fur so that it can have a variety of functions, such as in toy making, for example. Revealing the brand’s care in not wasting certain materials and in wanting to preserve the ones it has already used. The brand created a snow globe where the models walked looking like they were on the runway of a blizzard, for the Autumn Winter 2022 Collection, in a way to make a critique of both the climate crisis and the war in Ukraine. Transmitting the idea that the brand, besides being irreverent and iconic, reflects and demonstrates an increased preoccupation with the current world, taking into consideration the current situations that are not so beneficial, taking advantage of the projection that the brand has through its fashion shows to show this awareness and try to create a greater sensibility on the part of those watching. With this Balenciaga’s London Store, the brand revealed a distinctive aesthetic sense, an ability to highlight and an irreverent idea, as we can see in the interior. Hommés Studio has in its own collection a variety of products in pink tones. Adding the Samira Chair by Hommés Studio to this Balenciaga’s London Store interior would be the perfect choice for an environment like this and it would give the high – end, with a touch of luxury. With this idea, the brand has shown that it can really impress and create a completely different but still captivating and luxurious environment. ARE YOU INTO INTERIOR DESIGN? A Stunning Florida House: Discover This Tropical Relaxing Retreat

A Stunning Florida House: Discover This Tropical Relaxing Retreat

A Stunning Florida House With Verdant Surroundings, designed by the Talented Designer Jake Arnold to be the Perfect Relaxing Retreat, located in Fort Lauderdale. This perfect Florida house was designed by a super talented interior designer who is on the AD100 designer list. This property is located in the city of Fort Lauderdale and incorporates blue tones, charming wallpaper, and more, following the interior designer’s signature aesthetic. Surprisingly, it was close for this project not to happen. A few years ago, the decorator received a message from someone building a house in Fort Lauderdale and decided to ignore it. However, by chance, they accidentally met one night in Los Angeles – Arnold’s hometown – and it turned out that the Florida house’s owner is a successful hotel developer. It was a crazy idea, and Arnold was intrigued – but decided to accept this 10.000 square foot canalside house for this young family. The homeowner is a design lover, and Arnold was impressed by the house plans that he made. The objective was to create an atmosphere that would feel like he was on vacation 24/7. Elements such as the palms and plants and the waterfront setting helped to turn the property into this idealized vacation vibe. Arnold inspired himself with a tropical and vacation theme to achieve the ideal house. The couple that owns this fabulous Florida house wanted their home to be inspired by the Palm Beach style, which they requested from the architects. Although the homeowners wanted the traditionality of this type of design, they also wanted Arnold to soften that aspect with the low-key signature vibe that he’s used to create in his California projects. The husband liked a contemporary Belgian minimalism style with a neutral color palette, while the wife had a personal style that was a bit more tailored, vibrant, and dramatic. Arnold combined these two styles and resulted in this astonishing Florida house. The result was a relaxed atmosphere that spread a look of a high design bungalow with beachy vibes. The interior designer paid attention to the client’s desire by designing a simple bedroom. It was important for the couple not to have an over-designed style in this space because it’s supposed to be an area where you immediately feel a tranquilizing atmosphere to relax and sleep. He went for a natural vibe with neutral tones to permit the water and verdant views to overflow the inside, adding colorful accents. For his Floridian project, Arnold chose a low contrast color scheme with natural materials. The indoor and outdoor areas make a perfect blend because the exterior tropical ambiance had a considerable role in the interior decoration project’s inspiration. Besides Arnold’s soothing aesthetic and composition, the designer used some outstanding textures that utterly fit this Florida house vibe. The expansive entrance was projected with relaxing tones. The low contrasts between the limewashed cypress ceiling details, the plaster, and the honed-stoned checkerboard set the tone for the entire Florida house. With its curved staircase, the entry gives access to a commodious open area composed of seating, dining, and kitchen zones. The interior designer chose pale blue color tones to contrast the principal color palette predominant in the Florida house – earthy and nude. As well as a lot of the project, the moody blues were inspired by the nature that surrounds the house. The water views inspired it, and the hue is present in the living room in various details. After choosing all the fabric for the sofas, he unintentionally found this superb and unique raw edge stone coffee table that perfectly worked out with the rest of the elements. Before this Florida house, Arnold never used blue, but when confronted with this project, he felt that this tone was the most appropriate for this open-plan space. He created and used a variety of light blue hues not to give a too beachy feel. For this Florida house, the clients asked Arnold to create a space with a comfortable and effortless feeling that would look good, even if it wasn’t perfectly tidy. In this project, Arnold also used soft greens from the outdoor inspiration of the palms and the plants. In the dining room, he used an exquisite wallpaper mural, a climbing vine theme that fills the walls of this space. This statement decor element complements the garden views from the dining room french style doors. The homeowners didn’t want anything to have a precious feeling, so Arnold designed the house interior, settling a relaxing and barefoot-chic scene. In the Florida house kitchen, the interior designer gave continuity to the blue tones. Arnold used unique blue vintage cabinets contrasted with marble on various surfaces and wood details. This stunning kitchen brings joy and an amusing vibe to this interior design project. Between the living room and the kitchen, there’s a charming area composed of wood vintage chairs that surround a customized stone circular table. In the same tone palette as the rest of the elements, the alluring rug has a pattern that recalls the entryway patterned floor. Unusually, Arnold used this rug multiple times around the house, intending to give a sensation of intentionality and a restrained decision. Arnold decided to turn this powder room – the smallest space in the room – into the most dramatic one. To contrast the beachy vibes, instead of using lighter ones, such as limestone, he instead decided to make a daring and bold decision, choosing this luxurious stone. To combine this riot of marble, he chose a small vime mirror and a natural grasscloth wallpaper to make a merge between the natural and subtle with the luxe and drama. In the Florida house’s primary bathroom, Arnold and the couple decided the tub to be freestanding but also built-in. They designed a wood-paneled surround with a marble top that we had tumbled to accomplish this desire. The wicker stool gives continuity to the vime appointments, while the exquisite white plaster pendant conveys a more playful vibe. The dressing

A Bright and Modern Victorian House Renovation in London

Designed by the architect Michaelis Boyd, this Victorian house perfectly matches the old and the new. An imponent Victorian house converted into a bright and modern family home without losing the power and tradition of the exterior design. Addressed in the north of London is where we can find this brilliant home with design renovation signed by the architect Michaellis Boyd and by the interior designer Simone McEwan. To achieve the final result some audacious interventions were made to increase floor space, to take advantage of the natural light and views of the garden. As a culmination to this amazing victorian home design remodeling is the perfect match between styles and the old and new together. The Victorian House Renovation Taking a deeper look into the exterior design of this Victorian house, it is notable that the outside remains almost the same as the original, except for a second-floor mansard extension, which replaced the existing butterfly roof.  Another addition to the exterior design was a large ground-floor extension in the back of the house, replacing an existing space. As a family residence, this home should have a special gathering space, so a family room was designed where the old garage was with a new timber-clad passage to connect both volumes.  Inside the Victorian House: Modern shows up Besides the amazing design work on the outside, this Victorian house also shows how the right furniture and the perfect design choices can make a place look stunning. It’s only in the interior that we can say for sure that this is a modern house.  The semi-circular staircase that connects all four floors is an eye-catching intervention. It’s beautiful and functional; the funnel from the staircase help to give natural light to the house. Without mentioning, that is a key design to this Victorian house and matches perfectly with the classical outside and the modern inside. From the outside, this could be a typical Victorian house, but this is not. The inside shows that the classic can meet the new, and one of the high-end choices in this project is a balance between styles. Most of the interior is elegant and neutral, but some rooms give space to modern and vibrant colors.  A sophisticated petrol blue shows up on the walls and roof of the family room, a vibrant yellow fills one of the bathroom’s walls, and a dark green turn the study room feels comfortable. These choices make a not obvious victorian house and turn on an amazing and modern one.  Taking a look at the furniture choices, the mix between the classical and contemporary styles is a signature of this Victorian house. Even in minimalist rooms, it’s easy to find some key pieces that make the place look unique.  This modern and beautiful Victorian House is everything a family can dream of for a home. It’s luxurious, cozy, and modern. It is the perfect balance between styles, and also it has a lot of minor details that give the unique personality of this home. ARE YOU INTO INTERIOR DESIGN? A Quirky, Full Of Color Flat By WrinkleMX In Mexico City

A Flat Full Of Color, In a 20th Century Building, In CDMX

A flat Full Of Color in Mexico City, by wrinkleMX, distinguishes itself by its irreverence and differentiation, understanding that architecture can be art. This Full Of Color flat of Astrid and Eddy Sykes, founders of the wrinkleMX studio, is hidden behind the historic frontage of an early 20th century building. Reminiscent of the Mexican capital, where it is based, it reveals both spectacle and madness.  Created for a young family, this space is a showcase of material and sculptural exploration. It distinguishes itself by its irreverence and difference.   With everything thought to detail, even the plate drainer took three months to be completely finished, the designers had special attention to the relationship of people with the space and with the objects.  They care about the small and big details, like the door handle, the contact points, taking advantage of the ergonomics and datil experience to create something spectacular. In this space would fit perfectly the Vonkli Sofa by Hommés Studio. The Sykes accepted the challenge with delight, and developed the project with a combination of decorative art and architecture. The tiling that runs throughout the open plan living and dining areas, on walls wrapped in optical wallpaper with a subtly undulating three-dimensional effect activated by LED lights.  The ceiling light above the dining table has a remarkable presence in the space, contrasting with the luxurious greenery of the interior gardens and terrace. To complemet the irreverance of this bedroom at this flat Full Of Color, it would be a great idea to add some pieces of the Ach Collection pieces, fun, defferent and impossible to pass by without giving a second look. With an unconventional style, Eddy who was trained as an architect, went into engineering and worked in a company developing high-tech systems for aerospace and military applications as well as custom projects for various designers.  Astrid holds a Masters in Architecture from Paris before moving to U.C Berkeley for a Masters in Landscape Architecture. The duo, after moving from Los Angeles to Mexico City, launched wrinkleMX with an architecture based on hybrid, design, landscape and custom fabrication practices.  The firm’s big opportunity lies in the project to reimagine a flat Full of Color in Mexico City for a couple with two young children.  After a briefing with the couple, it was realized that the big picture of the idea for this flat Full Of Color was reminiscent of the Sala Peacock, the movement room aesthetic by Thomas Jekyll and James McNeill Whistler, D.C. The master bathroom is a small space, but one where the most significant moments can be found. The super – narrow shower cubicle, is an object that works as a statement. Everything thought through to the smallest detail, as the designers were extremely careful with the particularities.  The wallpaper, present both in the bathroom of this flat Full Of Color and in the bedrooms, traditionally contrasts with the couple’s avant-garde style. The main kitchen in this flat Full Of Color is located upstairs and is based on four design elements – the Tikal green marble island from Guatemala, an elongated architectural sink of thick travertine, a ceiling of folded brass planes cascading into a wall of faceted brass doors, a floor of painted cement tiles and marble dust, designed in collaboration with Pablo Kobayashi and handmade on site. We see bent brass planes and a marble island. A flat Full Of Color that doesn’t limit itself to the pieces, using them to beautify the space, but that focuses on making the space itself nice just for its surroundings.  Art collectors, the couple to whom the house belongs have come to see architecture as something unique and collectible. Understanding in this way that architecture can be art. ARE YOU INTO INTERIOR DESIGN? If so, discover modern furniture and lighting designed by design lovers for design lovers. Santorini Houses by Kapsimalis, A Primitive Luxury Concept

Located on the famous Greek island these holiday Santorini Houses by Kapsimalis were recently renovated, keeping the old aspects highlighted. Located on the Greek island of Santorini, these holiday homes were recently renovated, keeping the old aspects highlighted. The renovation place came with a 110 square foot shared outdoor patio and two outdoor spaces of approximately 70 square feet, a considerably small location for Kapsimalis Architects. In these Santorini Houses by Kapsimalis we verify that the connection with the nature is strong and quite relevant, an ample and wide space, gives a context of simplicity but sophisticated at the same time. In an exterior area like this, with a distinctive view, nothing could be better than adding some pieces from the Outdoor Collection by Hommés Studio, a collection full of different, elegant and impossible to ignore pieces. The Tropez Daybed Fern would give a elegant and different touch to this exterior space. This space is the perfect place to contempalte the great view that surrounds these Santorini Houses by Kapsimalis. The Hommés Studio Atlas Side Table would attribute the necessary high – end to this space, full of light and warm feelings, the contast of materials and colors will be perfect to complete this exterior. A sculptural and elegant space that preserves its primitive side, with an earthy color palette, applied to floors, walls and ceilings, to attribute a character of comfort and warmth, these Santorini Houses by Kapsimalis re the perfect examples of holiday homes with a luxury touch. As the space progresses the warm gray finishes take on a darker hue. Emphasizing the labyrinthine nature of the house. To support the overall sculptural intent, the furniture was almost all custom built, with elemental shapes and natural materials. The Prymo Dining Table from Hommés Studio would be a goos option to this space. Kapsimalis have kept an eye on the future while preserving certain elements of the past. Considering that this is a vacation home, the context of relaxation and calm must be evident, the most appropriate place to convey this idea is certainly the bedroom. In this specific example, the bedroom transmits those ideas perfectly. In this bedroom we can see a very simple interior, still well thought out, that conveys a sense of warmth and elegance. It will be impossible not to have a glance anyway, simplicity with elegance is the goal for these Santorini Houses by Kapsimalis. In this bathroom we can see a space full of natural light, with a simple decoration and the use of a soft pallet. These Santorini Houses by Kapsimalis are spaces that are very holiday – houses style, yet very sophisticated, thoughtful and elegant. Both houses overlook a patio complete with sculptural pools, with a retractable door that serves for moments with greater privacy while maintaining a stunning clear unobstructed view of the Aegean. In a house with the opportunity to have a view that stands out in this way, it was necessary to accentuate this view. With a pool that has no limits, the idea of ample space and connection with nature becomes even more clear in this outdoor space. An elegant mirror along two walls contrasts and gives an added profundity and vibrancy. In front of the house is a white addition that takes us to a fully glazed wall and door, which allows you to maximize the light and view, which are aspects to mention about these Santorini Houses by Kapsimalis. Two houses that compile the past, present and future in its most dynamic way and allow a coherent connection between nature, always with a calm and luxurious aspect. Kapsimalis managed to convey the idea of a holiday home with a distinctive touch. ARE YOU INTO INTERIOR DESIGN?
