The New Ferrari Lifestyle Concept Store in Maranello

Ferrari. A brand that rings a bell anywhere in the world. The top sportscar Italian brand and motorsport monarch will rebrand with the first Ferrari lifestyle concept store and fashion collection. Located in Maranello, next to Ferrari’s factory, the first Ferrari lifestyle concept store in the world was designed by London-based architecture studio Sybarite. The red car’s concept store was inaugurated on June 13th, on the same day of Ferrari’s high-end clothing collection debut, designed by Italian fashion designer Rocco Iannone. The concept store is meant to showcase Ferrari’s fashion collection and add a visit point to Formula 1 fans in the region. FERRARI LIFESTYLE CONCEPT STORE The Ferrari lifestyle concept store is part of a 1980s building in northern Italy. The store itself is a single open-plan floor. Sybarite kept the traditional flair of an Italian building on the exterior – with a terracotta façade honoring the ancient Mediterranean architecture and the typical Modenese houses. To make this concept store truly special, Sybarite sourced the clay locally and prioritized local craftsmanship. In other words, the idea was to honor Italy since Ferrari is as much red as Italian. Contrasting with the exterior of the new Ferrari lifestyle concept store, the interior has a contemporary design with geometric round shapes and glossy Ferrari-red and white textures. Sybarite explains the round shapes with the need to create a sense of movement and speed. A wall of glass in Ferrari’s red sweeps through the store – the intention is to replicate Fiorano Circuit track. This is a store for Formula 1 fans and fast red cars enthusiasts. As a matter of fact, the Ferrari lifestyle concept store has two installations that outspoke the brand’s identity. One is a hypnotic of Ferrari’s logo, Cavallino, made from black metal sheets that appear to float near the entrance. The other one is a map of the Fiorano Circuit track with movable images of the creative processes behind the products. The interior design studio based in London brings a little bit of the production process inside the Ferrari’s concept store. For instance, a wall of white clay bricks behind serves as a backdrop for the store’s products. Here, the clay bricks represent the clay-modeling process used to make Ferrari prototypes before the cars come to life at the Ferrari factory in Maranello. Sybarite also uses mahogany, which was used to make the original Enrico Nardi steering wheels of the 1950s and 1960s, and brushed aluminum, used in the second stage of the Ferrari car-making process. Additionally, the poured concrete floor recalls both the pit lane and the Ferrari factory floor. Still, Yellow Alcantara, a suede-like fabric used in Ferrari’s interiors, lines the dressing room walls. Following the first Ferrari lifestyle concept store, the brand plans to open the flagship store in Milan next September and expand overseas, with two stores in the US, one in LA and another in Miami. Embrace The Nature: Aviv House By CO-LAB Design Office

Designed by the Tulum-based CO-LAB Design Office, Casa Aviv rests in the middle of a jungle in one of Mexico’s popular holiday destinations. It is admired for its white sand, palm tree-lined coast, pastel waters, and Mayan ruins. Situated a short distance from the beach and famous natural swimming holes – also known as cenotes. Therefore, Casa Aviv highlights outdoor living that takes full advantage of the tropical environment. The concrete structures naturally combine with nature, presenting as two parallel volumes. As Casa Aviv is a rental property, CO-LAB chose a natural material palette for its stability, durability, and low preservation. Across two floors, warm grey hand-polished concrete cement walls decorate the interior complemented by black terrazzo floor tiles. Additionally, carpentry and furnishings inside the house are made from burned cedarwood, adding richness and depth to the already earthy palette. Delicate features were custom-made to fit the home by local artisans in the CO-LAB Design Office workshop. This house accommodates a total of 4 ensuite bedrooms. Also, the vast ceilings are the essence of luxurious spaciousness, becoming a backdrop of shadows reflected through the house. The home’s ground level offers a mix of public and private spaces with a private pool, the two bedrooms on the upper levels are connected by a bridge above the dining and kitchen area. Bedrooms on the bottom level open up to the garden, with the master bedroom having direct access to the pool. Moreover, a rooftop terrace with potted plants and lounge furniture offers panoramic views of the surrounding. Existing trees on the site were retained – visible through the large, framed apertures and pivoting glass doors that lead to the garden – protecting the home from prevailing winds and storms. The orientation of the house, sitting east-west, takes advantage of the cross ventilation and the north-facing orientation, which provides ample indirect natural light that flickers softly throughout the home. CO-LAB’s deliberate minimal touches and sleek architectural style complement the jungle setting while honoring the beachy lifestyle. We really hope you liked our celebrity homes article. Fern Santini’s interior design identity is versatile. It fluctuates from project to project – depending on the site’s characteristics, architectural style, and clients’ personal style and tastes. Therefore, each interior design project has a unique voice. Nevertheless, there are two essential features of Fern Santini’s work. One is the initial architectural concept. The other, and the most important, is having a team built on respect and admiration, that is passionate about the project. FERN SANTINI MUSIC-THEMED HOUSE West Austin, Texas. Austin In Stereo or Meadowbank is a 16 Million dollar property designed by the inland-born and raised Fern Santini. Transitional Palace House in Belgium by Gert Voorjans

Gert Voorjans redesigns a 1930s Belgian house in a transitional interior design style, and Monarch influences from Louis XV. TRANSITIONAL PALACE STYLE BY GERT VOORJANS Gert Voorjans redesigns a historic mansion outside Brussels. The property is a house with typical architecture of in-between wars. This transitional palace house is, therefore, a symbol of resistance. Here, past and future share the same room. The walls simultaneously communicate nostalgia and hope. The is drama and minimalism, vintage and modern, historic and custom-made furniture. The entryway clearly announces what to expect from this reinvented palace. XIX bronze size tables, walls covered in Italian walnut, saturated marble floor, and a big contemporary canvas. Every room is an aesthetic experience. The hallway, for instance, has a classic staircase made from Italian walnut – a thick and warm brown wood. Yet, in contrast with Italian walnut joinery, there are contemporary streamlines and bright white paint, yet a warm white hue. Adding to this, the Green Patricia marble floor has a rich pattern, turning this space into an overwhelming entrance. As a matter of fact, joinery is an essential element of this interior design project by Gert Voorjans. The Italian walnut preserves the 1930s art deco flair. The dining room, for instance, has an Italian walnut floor. Gert Voorjans plays with wood and paneling. In this manner, the interior designer decors the dining room ceiling with a graphic pattern made from paneling. Matching the ceiling decor, an unraveling art piece next to the dining table that looks like a door from Alice in Wonderland makes a statement of contemporary and style. The living room looks like a gallery. On the wall, a contemporary art piece contrast with the surrounding vintage and art deco home accessories. Still in the living room, Gert Voorjans pairs a flemish chest of drawers from the Renaissance era with baroque armchairs and carpet from the XIX century. In the center of these fixtures, there is a green mid-century coffee table from the 70s matching a modern sofa. The home office has an eccentric appearance, with a maximalist wallpaper with a palatial look. For this room, Gert Voorjans took inspiration from the lavish French monarch, Louis XV. The kitchen is the isolated modern room of the house. The Italian walnut is still present. Nevertheless, the differentiated marble and the modern kitchen storage furniture turn it into a contemporary oasis. The children’s bathroom is another perfect exemplar of transitional interior design style. There is a modest vanity mixed with French contemporary chairs with graphic fabric. While the floor is dressed in white marble, the walls are covered with blue tiles made from glass. Finally, the guest room has a maximalist and funky vibe – the animal print fabric exhales a 70s vibe, especially when an electric pink and glamorous flower pattern joins the party. However, the antique wallpaper is exaggerated; however, it cools down the electrifying colors and patterns of the room. 16 Modern Dining Room Decor Ideas

When you think about home, where do you create your best memories? Dining rooms are where the most laughs happen and where revelations are made. Therefore, dining room decor is very important. It is like set design, to create the perfect scenario for great stories. Discover our dining room design ideas to help you create the perfect scenario for your client’s favorite stories. 1. MULTIPLE DINING TABLES It is a risky move. However, it will add a bohemian flair to your interior design project. Multiple dining tables usually aren’t part of a residential project, even if the property has several dining areas. What makes a dining room with multiple dining tables so special? It creates an intimate atmosphere. Moreover, it delivers the vibe of a pub or bar. Therefore, this is a modern dining room design idea suited for young owners who enjoy spending time with their friends. Due to the pandemic, this might be a good way of remembering the good old times. 2. GOLDEN FIXTURES Some say that golden is neutral. And we totally agree. Metals are a subtle way to sophisticate a dining room. But how do you gold up a dining room? Decorative fixtures such as lamps and tabletop decoration are enough to make the dining room glow. Nevertheless, if you go for a full golden dining set, it won’t be too much. 3. MIX OLD AND NEW Another dining room design idea is to mix old and new. Old chairs with a new dining table or an old dining table set with contemporary art and decor pieces. There isn’t a rule to mix old and new since it tells a story where the main characters are the decorative elements. 4. FUNK IT UP Funk your dining room decor up! Don’t underrate the power of animal print. A fabric with animal print adds fun and sophistication to any room. If you’re designing a dining room from scratch and want it to be funky, add animal print. However, if you’re renovating a dining room and want to make an impression, try to upholster the chairs with animal print fabric. 5. CREATE A GRADIENT INTERIOR When working on an open space interior, creating a gradient within the space is a great way to delimitate the several “rooms.” To illustrate, this house in Sydney has a variety of earthy hues. The kitchen has an earthy green with a deep tone of brown. Then follows the dining area, with a light brown that leads us to the warm grey of the living room. 6. PLAYFUL DINING ROOM DECOR Becoming a dining room decor playful is easy. Add contemporary wallpaper or hand-paint the walls. Stripes are a classic pattern – it fits in any interior design style and any room. In addition, find an unusual furniture piece and decor the dining room with it. 7. CLASSIC DINING ROOM DECOR WITH PANELING Paneling is a gold old decor idea to bring some classicism to a room. Adding to this, paneling serves as the perfect background to display art pieces. To provide more sophistication to the paneling, try to use colorful panels either matching or contrasting with the dining room decor. 8. MILLENNIAL PINK DINING ROOM DECOR Millennial Pink is not a color exclusive for millennials. Instead, this pink hue is happy, funny, and immediately associated with youth and freedom. As a result, millennial pink is the perfect color for a dining room with a charismatic personality. 9. EAST MEETS WEST Mix Eastern furniture and decor pieces with Western elements. If your client travels the world or has an eclectic collection of art and ceramics, mix multicultural expressions in the dining room. 10. DINING ROOM WITH WOOD ELEMENTS Wood is a simple yet extremely versatile material. You can create stunning dining room decor entirely with wooded elements. Despite using a wood dining table, add some joinery to the ceiling and countertops. 11. CONTEMPORARY DINING ROOM Decor a dining room with sleek lines and sober colors. Combine dark wood with a minimalist dining set, that is sophiticated enough. Nevertheless, stylish lighting fixtures and metallic details will make a luxury statement. 12. ROUND DINING AREA In an open space, you can delimitate a dining area with opposite forms. In this manner, try to breach a straight room with round shapes. For example, a round table and curvy dining chairs will stand out in the open space. 13. ADD AN ELEGANT ELEMENT In the rustic dining room of Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, the Hollywood couple added a classical piano. Besides being great for entertaining guests, this element adds an elegant and classy vibe to the rustic dining room. 14. ECLECTIC DINING ROOM DECOR Designing an eclectic dining room is about paying attention to details. An ordinary modern dining room becomes a sophisticated, eclectic interior by choosing a bold fabric for the dining chairs. 15. VARIED SEATING Use different seating options to make your dining room decor stand out—mix dining chairs with benches and even stools. 16. OPPOSITE COLORS Decor a modern dining room using opposite colors, such as black and white. Black and white are a timeless combination – it never gets out of fashion since they are neutrals and the base of all colors. If you want the dining room decor to make an impression, surprise with walls painted black contrasting with the conventional colorism. Luxury House in Moscow by Irakli Zaria

Irakli Zaria designs a serene and luxury house in Moscow. The property originally built in the 1990s was lacking in both character and emotion. That was the challenge to the interior designer – to give life to this ordinary building in the neighborhood of Pokrovskoyer-Streshnevo. The owners are long-term clients of Irakli Zaria – a young couple parenting three kids. Before this luxury house in Moscow, Zaria has already designed two apartments for the family – one in London and another in Moscow. SERENE AND LUXURY HOUSE IN MOSCOW Starting from a fragile and lackluster house, Irakly Zaria turns it into a meaningful property fulfilled with emotion. The finishing of this luxury house in Moscow came at the perfect timing – at the end of March 2020, just right before the mandatory lockdown due to the pandemic. The building was originally built in the 1990s. The house’s main features are low ceilings and large windows. Even though it has a modernist flair, it isn’t modern architecture. For this reason, the owners felt like the house didn’t have personality. And that was the task of Irakli Zaria – the interior designer was challenged to give life to this emotionless property. Due to the weather conditions of Moscow, the Russian interior designer combined indoors with outdoors. Moscow is not particularly sunny nor colorful so that the house matches that neutral palette. Irakli Zaria elects a warm tone of grey and a variation of brown hues to enrich the interior of the house. In addition, the interior designer adds suttle yet joyfull pops of color in every room. To pursue an elegant flair and turn the building into a luxury house in Moscow, Irakli Zaria also uses paneling. The interior designer to panel the walls was essential. Firstly, it adds richness to the original dull architecture. Secondly, it creates a more involving environment, contrasting with the cool temperatures of Moscow. Finally, paneling is a stunning background for art pieces. Since the owners have an impressive collection of post-war art, this paneling was an excellent move from Irakli Zaira. THE FURNISHING OF LUXURY HOUSE IN MOSCOW To decorated the house Irakli Zaria was allowed to style the clients’ collection of post-war art. To it, Zaria adds antique and contemporary pieces. For instance, in the sitting room, a striking electric blue wall mirror pairs with custom-made wool and silk blue carpet designed by the interior designer. Irakli Zaria finds it crucial to add contemporary features to his interior design projects. However, the interior designer doesn’t appreciate furniture which lacks uniqueness. Therefore, the contemporary pieces were designed by Zaria himself and then handmade in Moscow. In this manner, around the house, several mid-century furniture pieces are sourced from the United States and Europe. To finish unforgettable rooms, Irakli Zaria designs unique pieces. Just at the right time, this family was able to spend the lockdown in a brand new luxury house in Moscow, nearby the forest and with a serene atmosphere. This luxurious hotel is a jewel box in the city’s gemstone market

Siddharth Kasliwal and Abhishek Honawar open up their second luxurious hotel in Jaipur, The Johri, designed by Naina Shah. Located just off the main road of the city’s famed pink-walled city Bazar, Jaipur’s gemstone market melts away as you step into the quiet courtyard of the 19th-century three-storey haveli resplendently restored into The Johri, an electrifying new addition to Jaipur’s hotel scene. Housing just five suites, each named after a fine gem, the property is indeed a jewel box. With inviting nooks and cozy public spaces that evoke the best of Rajasthan’s grandeur without any of the attendant fuss. Landlord Sudhanshu Kasliwal, a prominent city lawyer, is an old family friend of Siddharth Kasliwal, a famous Gem Palace jeweler. So when Siddharth and Abhishek Honawar went to see it with designer Naina Shah, Honawar’s wife, they thought it a brilliant opportunity. Opening a luxurious hotel during a pandemic takes courage. As does opening in the busy lanes of Johri Bazaar. However, rather than be daunted by the bustling chaos outside, Honawar found the location apt. “It was filled with things that resonate Indian culture, from the farsanwala to the matarwala,” says the 37-year-old hotelier. Shah, 36, who owns Aditiany, an embroidery business based in New York and Mumbai, was equally excited. He recalls the structure as beautiful if in need of a facelift. The trio set out to create a world-class design hotel, with Shah leading the charge of designing the space. “We wanted to maintain the integrity of the structure and its heritage but wanted a slightly more contemporary take on a traditional haveli experience,” says Shah. Each suite has its own aesthetic, with an accompanying color palette based on the jewel after which it is named. Manak (ruby) in hues of pink, Moti (pearl) is white, Sona (gold) is yellow, Neelam (sapphire) is light blue, and Panna (emerald) is pale green. Shah was particular about sourcing traditional materials, sticking to a palette that evokes Rajasthan, and working with local artisans. Each suite has its imprint, with a custom-designed and embroidered headboard that acts as a focal point. There is also a dressing room, and each varies slightly in terms of space, with some offering smaller antechambers. Brass accessories and detailing, bone inlay, and cane work populate every room. The Neelam suite, with four eye-catching black and white columns uncovered during the renovation, also includes a giant, upholstered swing and vintage chairs with tiger-shaped arms sourced in Udaipur. The Pukhraj lounge functions as a bar area, with seating awash in a rich velvet yellow, and the ground-floor vegetarian restaurant. “The true essence of India is on the street, and you have to embrace that,” says Honawar. The Johri does this brilliantly while also offering beauty and tranquility. We really hope you liked our article. Feel free to pin all the images to your favorite Pinterest board. Natural Stone Use in Architecture, Interiors, and Design

Natural stone such as marble, onyx, or limestone is found in many architecture, interiors, and products. But why is this natural material one of the favorites in the world of design? First and foremost, natural stone is durable and highly resistant (think about girls’ best friends – diamonds, for instance). In addition to the long-lasting characteristic, some natural stones are weather-resistant. It couldn’t be another way, so are precisely these weather-resistant stones that building construction uses to materialize some of the best architecture projects. For the very same reason, interior design and product design often use natural stone. However, another characteristic makes this material so popular – the unique texture and unrepeatable beauty. When using natural stone in product design, one will never be the same as another, despite using the same stone collected from the same place. And that is luxury – a natural material, beautiful, durable, and unique. ALABASTER Alabaster is soft and fine-grained. Due to its characteristics, Alabaster is a natural stone that has been used for centuries to carve elaborate forms and ornaments. However, it is soluble in water, which means that it is not suitable for exterior architecture. Nevertheless, alabaster is a great stone to product design. Not only is it easy to craft, but it also has a crystalline color in its pure form. In this manner, alabaster is a natural stone widely used in lighting design. Modern Love is a residential project in Palm Beach, designed by Stonefox. In the master bedroom, the nightstands are made from Alabaster stone. In the modern living room of a Silicon Valley entrepreneur, designer Jean-Louis Deniot hangs a 1920s’ bronze and alabaster chandelier. ONYX Onyx is a translucent gemstone composed of parallel bands of quartz. It has a mystic appearance and is commonly found in sculptures and jewelry. However, onyx is not widely used in architecture and design, and that is a shame. Since onyx is present in almost every color, it has a huge potential as raw material for a decorative piece, such as lamps and tables. Steven Volpe designs a bathroom of quartz with circular pink onyx elements for a child’s bathroom in a family apartment in Manhattan. In the bathroom of Lenny Kravitz maximalist home in Beverly Hills, one bathroom has an orange onyx vanity. Due to its coloration and texture, it is frequently used as an aggregate for concrete. As a result, basalt in combination with concrete is a good natural stone to construct modern architecture projects and industrial buildings, since Basalt is low-cost and high-strength. In architecture and interior design, Basalt is also popular as flooeing material. The Rimrock House is a project by the Seattle-based architect Tom Kundig. Rimrock house is one of the 10 Most Breathtakingly Architectural Houses. The basalt structure has a rusty hue and is fully integrated into the landscape. FLINT Flint is a highly durable natural stone with irregular-shaped nodules in sedimentary rocks such as chalk. Romans were the first to use the stone for construction. However, flint is not commonly used in contemporary architecture.Flint varies in color, but it is commonly glassy black with a white crust. The Six Senses Shaharut Hotel in Israel is one of the 13 Top Design Hotels to Travel to in 2021. The hotel is located in the tiny desert community of Shaharut, and it riffs off structures built by the nomadic Nabataean tribe. Plesner Architects, the studio that designed this hotel, choose a combination of limestone and flint for the building’s construction. LIMESTONE There are many different types of limestone, a natural stone composed mainly of calcium carbonate. One of the most popular is the travertine stone. Another is the Portland stone, is holds notable buildings such as the St Paul’s Cathedral and Buckingham Palace in London. Overall, limestone is a good natural stone for architecture, interior design, and product design. It is easy to cut and carve and has a concise texture and color. Santa Clara 1728 is another one of the 13 Top Designs Hotels to Travel to in 2021. The hotel is located in Lisbon, and it is one of the few houses that survived the devastating earthquake of 1755. In this hotel, the staircase is limestone. At Santa Clara 1728, bathrooms have amazing limestone features, such as the bathtub. TRAVERTINE One of the most commonly used forms of limestone is travertine. Travertine has been a primary building material for centuries. To illustrate, the Colosseum in Rome is the largest building in the world made from this natural stone.Travertine is still widely used, especially as tiles and for bathroom fit-outs. Steven Volpe uses several natural stones in this luxury apartment in Manhattan. For this breathtaking bathroom, the designer chooses a travertine bathtub. Besides being durable, slate is resistant to weather and frost. Additionally, slate can be thin. As a result, slate natural stone is widely used in architecture and interior design. The construction is modular using local materials, such as jacaranda wood, natural stone, and chocolate slate.  SANDSTONE Sandstone is composed of fine silicate grains eroded from other rocks, giving it either a warm red, yellow, or orange coloration.Used for construction since prehistoric times, sandstone continues to be a popular choice in architecture and design as it is abundant, durable, and easy to handle. In this Colonial-style apartment in Mumbai, the owners created the dining table, which features a glass top over two carved sandstone pieces.
