2022 The Future Of Trends – Living In Nostalgia

2022 The Future Of Trends by Trendyfikation is a collaborative task of Hommés Studio and ACH Collection. A dissection of the relation between time and space that advocates a nostalgic way of living – the only way we believe it is possible to take care of a sore world by means of conscious consumerism, meaningful craftsmanship, and eco-innovation. From our team to you. With love. WHY IS 2022 THE FUTURE OF TRENDS EBOOK WORTH READING? This very special ebook, a collaborative task of Hommés Studio and ACH Collection is worth reading. Really. Why? It is the collective vision of unique individuals that share a passion for design, and believe that beauty, creativity, and innovation change the world, for the better. Just like you, right? Nevertheless, 2022 The Future Of Trends goes beyond being a passionate compendium. It is a cluster of the very best of fashion, product, and interior design, compelling moodboards, earthy-sleek colors, and a library of nature-responsible materials. The ebook digs into 10 key colors and how they can layer furniture, objects, and wearables. In addition, the trends forecast praises 7 nature-responsible materials, natural and manmade. In other words, 2022 The Future Of Trends can also be a design guide but primarily it is a love letter to yesterday. 2022 THE FUTURE OF TRENDS PREVIEW THE FUTURE IS LONGING FOR THE PAST Onwards we live in nostalgia. The future will be longing for the positive changes that have been made to the way we think, live, and design. This longing for the past is a rebellious act against defeatment, and it intimates the celebration of resilience and optimism. The future is a throwback to the 60s and 70s, where the air is purer, hope is tangible, and homes are funky and bursting with joyfulness.  KALEIDOSCOPE The future is a kaleidoscope. An unexpected imagery with granted beauty revealed after a quake. This kaleidoscope discloses earthy-sleek colors, evocative of a solid connection to nature, its visual and tactile textures, and pure scents.  Olive Branch, Adobe, Harbor Blue, Jade, Dark Oak, Soybean, Daffodil, Winery, Spring Lake, and Northern Droplet are the glass beads of the future of trends. OLD IS GOLD It’s hard to forecast trends in a hazy world. As some things never change, others we wish they never did. Yet, we examine the relation between time and space and choose to advocate a nostalgic living. More than a societal or aesthetic expression, nostalgic living is the elixir for a sore world. It is the belief that conscious consumerism, meaningful craftsmanship, and eco-innovation can slow down this restless world. There’s a synergy between humans and between humans and matter. We experience life, think, design and manufacture as one. We live in nostalgia, driven by a passion for the planet we live in. Our 2022 The Future Of Trends ebook is also yours. Peaceful Home in Pastel Colors in Walsh Bay by Greg Natale

In Walsh Bay in Sydney, Greg Natale designs a peaceful home in pastel colors with refined layers and curves that emanates an ethereal glow. From the best contemporary architects and designers, Greg Natale is likely the most famous Australian interior designer. Amongst the work of other creatives of his homeland, such as Flack Studio, Blainey North, or David Hicks, the interiors of Greg Natale stand out due to his use (and mixing) of patterns, curvy lines, and colors. This home is pastel colors in Walsh Bay in Sydney, consolidates the authenticity of Greg Natale’s signature – and has our seal of approval. THE PEACEFUL HOME IN PASTEL COLORS ON WALSH BAY This home in pastel colors designed by Greg Natale on Walsh Bay emanates a captivating and ethereal glow. With each room opening up to the bay with the exact location, this project is a renovated penthouse with two levels, three bedrooms, and several entertaining areas. The three bedrooms in this Walsh Bay’s penthouse combine pastel colors, such as blue, yellow, and pink, with muted earthy hues like grey and wine red. Some exciting features of these contemporary bedrooms are the abstract and graphic artworks, squishy decorative elements such as the iconic Togo armchairs, and the Artemide table lamps. As a renovating effort, this peaceful penthouse had simple briefing – curves. It was mandatory to create motion and movement and, most importantly, to accentuate the connectivity internally and soften the rectilinear floor plate. To consolidate every room and the two levels of this home in pastel colors on Walsh Bay, a newly crafted staircase becomes the focal point amongst the main living room. A living room with round sofas atop a round rug surrounded by sculptural side tables. The curvy staircase is practical, yet it is decorative, completing the story of the home.  The introduction of a European influence is seen in the furniture selections, lighting, and accessories throughout, carefully weaving in the narrative of a time-tested and historically proven lineage. The kitchen and bathrooms, as in functional areas, are unapologetically contemporary. Can Chic, The Effortlessly Elegant Villa in Ibiza by TO Interior Design

Can Chic is the uniquely instagrammable and effortlessly elegant villa in Ibiza, designed by TO Interior Design, the design studio founded by Theresa Obermoser with offices in Vienna and London. TO DESIGN STUDIO Theresa Obermoser is the founder and creative designer of TO Interior Design, an award-winning interior design studio in between London and Vienna. “Unique instagrammable” is how Theresa Obermoser describes her work. The design studio creates casual and effortlessly elegant interiors, both residential and hospitality and commercial. Yet, it is the hospitality and commercial interior design Theresa Obermoser’s work that is most awarded. CAN CHIC, THE EFFORTLESSLY ELEGANT VILLA IN IBIZA Can Chic, the elegant villa in Ibiza is located near the wonderful town of San Josep, on the west side of the island, taking in the stunning sea views. Theresa Obermoser wanted to preserve the beautiful traditional elements of the Ibizan Finca. Nevertheless, the interior designer wanted to modernize it as much as the owners of the six-bedroom abode. Hence, TO Interior Design studio used a palette of muted natural colors, micro-cement for the flooring and wall, and natural paneling around the pool area. These natural materials honor not only the region but also the landscape and make this elegant villa luxurious and practical. Even though this villa is practical and extremely user-friendly, Theresa Obermoser made the home Instagram material. Therefore, the interior designer added a Bohemian flair to the muted earthy colors and natural materials, such as a hanging daybed to relax and a cocktail bar. Furthermore, Theresa Obermoser added vintage elements, timber, and baskets to warm up the entire setting. The architectural setting of the outside area was entirely designed by TO Interior Design studio and it respects the style, spirit, and vibe of the naturally beautiful Ibiza. The landscape is typically Mediterranean, with olive trees, fig trees, and lemon trees. For Theresa Obermoser it was important that the owners could have a shade to sit under. Additionally, it was important that the owners picked fresh fruit from their garden. A Sultry Neutral Home in Washington D.C. Designed by Jeremiah Brent

Courtney and Mike Green, an artist and a former NHL player, are the owners of the sultry neutral home in Washington D.C. renovated by Jeremiah Brent, one half of The Nate and Jeremiah Home Project – the design show of the power couple of the talented Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent. Mike Green played for ten seasons with the Washington Capitals. In 2017, he and his wife Courtney decided to put down roots and raise their three children in D.C. after their affectionate relation with the city. As they bought a 1914 three-story home in Washington D.C. in the neighborhood of Kalorama Triangle, the couple knew exactly what they needed to feel at home in the recently acquired property – and that implied a gut renovation. A task that they assigned to Jeremiah Brent, husband and business partner of the equally talented Nate Berkus. THE NEUTRAL HOME IN WASHINGTON D.C. WITH EUROPEAN DESIGN Jeremiah Brent is known for pulling off intimate and characteristic interiors without spoiling the integrity of any residence’s architecture. Therefore, he was from the start the perfect designer to transform the historic building in DC into the dream home of Courtney and Mike Green. That was the starting point of a two years renovation. As a matter of fact, the building’s unique features, such as soaring ceilings, large windows, and impressive skylights ran the renovation of this sultry neutral home by Jeremiah Brent. Once a narrow residence, Jeremiah Brent was able to make it into an airy home with an abundance of natural light. Since Jeremiah Brent wanted to highlight the building’s heritage and Courtney and Mike Green wanted a timeless interior – the kind that speaks as a family home but that makes a stylish statement as well – the quiet home in Washington D.C. has some interesting and unrepeatable design fixtures sourced in Europe. For instance, an antique French fireplace with vintage tile at the firebox adds a stately presence to the living room, just as an antique limestone fireplace does the same in the primary bedroom. Elsewhere, custom architectural moldings frame a fluted plaster vestibule, while an antique marble vessel was wall-mounted to Roman clay walls in a greyscale powder room. Finally, a long kitchen island with matchbook Italian Paonazzo marble is arguably the pièce de résistance. HOW TO ARRANGE KITCHEN ACCORDING TO CHINESE FENG SHUI PHILOSOPHY

If you are our frequent follower you probably already checked our articles about Chinese Feng Shui Philosophy and how to implement it in the interiors. We already cowered general rules, entryways, living rooms, bedroom and outdoor areas. As the winter is coming, it’s right about time to prepare ourselves for some comforting home-cooking and Netflix binge-watching with a pleasantly warm cup of tea or hot chocolate. Come check with us the feng shui design rules for a perfect kitchen! If you never heard of feng shui philosophy, let’s cover the basics first. This Chinese ancient concept focuses on the free flow of qi (energy), which is possible when there is harmony between the forces ruling the world and our lives. Feng Shui’s role is to help plan spaces in a way that serves good physical and mental health, happiness and overall well-being. So the most important concept, that you should always keep in mind, is to keep positive vibes at home, which will bring good energy and make your life better.  The kitchen area is one of the most important places at home, it’s where all the ‘magic happens. For sure you at least once went to a house party that out for no reason just moved into the kitchen. It has this familiar energy that makes us feel comfortable and safe. Every area of the house, even the outside terrain should be planned according to the bagua map, which determines appropriate areas for designed activities, based on energy. Your plan doesn’t need to be very strict, but it’s good if you bear this map in your mind while arranging the layout. In feng shui philosophy, the kitchen is the heart of the house. The most important feng shui rule is to keep everything neat and clean, with a lot of free space for the energy to flow. It definitely applies to the kitchen, since it’s the place that gets dirty the fastest and as it’s the heart of the house, would you like to keep it messy? The kitchen is assigned to the element of fire because of the stove and oven and the element of water – the sink. These elements should be separated by at least a worktop, preferably wooden. It’s also advised that the person cooking on the stove shouldn’t turn his back against the door. It’s worth putting the sink under the window, so you would get a relaxing view while washing the dishes. Refrigerator is associated with the wealth of the family, it’s a symbol of safeguarding wealth. Therefore, it should blend into the interior or have its doors out of sight. When it comes to colors, don’t go with red. The kitchen is associated with fire, so adding red would put the energy on too high a level. Kitchen shouldn’t be anywhere near the entrance doors. Traditionally, the main door was always leading to the living room, and kitchens were always in the back. But nowadays it’s already changing, so there is a bigger chance to have it all linked together. But in feng shui taboo, entering the house through the kitchen it’s like entering through the back door, like a theft. Try to get as much daylight as possible, because this is the area that should be bright, clean and inviting. And don’t forget to check your refrigerator from time to time to see if there is no rotten food, that would disturb the good energy of the house.

Duyi Han Promotes Mental Health Awareness With His Interior Installation

An ArtBnB apartment in Jiangnan, China is an experiment of the psychological depth. The name of this interior installation is Ordinance of the Subconscious Treatment. The artist Dui Han created an apartment that expands the boundaries of consciousness. ArtBnB Interior Installation Han’s diverse range of work has roots in a desire to create perceptual experiences. These evoke genuine emotions, and this project is no different. Basically, this interior installation becomes a psychotherapist place for its residents. What is more, they can also experience a high level of aesthetic design. Both the space and furniture collection explore the mental health theme connected to contemporary Chineseness. The designer had obviously reconfigured each space to physically reflect a mental state. Pink and teal-swathed monochrome rooms, sinuous spaces cloaked in sheer white curtains, and maze-like passages with protruding fractal walls create an eerie, dreamlike environment that feels like visiting mythological Chinese rock gardens and shrines.  Khan designed itemns to be therapeutic – it is no coincidence that all of their surfaces are soft and upholstered in smooth silk. While the pieces reflect a contemporary belief in the scientific side of mental health, at the same time their antique-like aesthetic say that you cannot discard cultural heritage. The pieces are hand-embroidered with stylized chemical structures of hormones, neurotransmitters and vitamins. These on the other hand involve promoting a happy mood and positive feelings such as dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin, and an anthology of statements related to mental health. The designer had completely covered the installation in yellow or white silk fabric with soft foam padding underneath. Including the tabletops, the furniture collection enhances the apartment’s dream-like ambience and therapeutic sensibility. Schiaparelli Spring 2022: The Revival of Surrealism

Daniel Roseberry, the creative director of the haute couture fashion house Schiaparelli introduced the revival of Surrealism for the upcoming Spring/Summer 2022 with the collection The Surrealist Holiday. Inspired by the woman behind the house, Elsa Schiaparelli, Daniel Roseberry designed a collection that revisits the dualities of the founder of the fashion house. Is Elsa a glittering cosmopolitan? Or does she fall in love with the slow Coastal living? Is she everything and all at once? The Surrealist Holiday, the ready-to-wear collection that brings the revival of Surrealism reveals two sides of a uniquely creative and visionary woman. One side of Elsa Schiaparelli’s belongs to the city, between public life, parties, work commitments, and Parisian lounges. The other side belongs to a relaxed Elsa, one with her family on vacation on the sunny coasts of the Côte d’Azur. THE SURREALIST HOLIDAY AND THE REVIVAL OF SURREALISM BY SCHIAPARELLI Daniel Roseberry tells us that Elsa Schiaparelli is both refined and barbaric, chic but provocative, tailored but relaxed. The Surrealist Holiday, the ready-to-wear collection for the Spring/Summer of the upcoming year, has the stipes of the navy style, the leather and rough cut of the rebels, and has the classic, streamlined, silhouette of the beginning of the century. In addition, the collection delivers glimpses of a nomad yet creative mind, like a circus acrobat. This revival of surrealism is presented with black and white photography. As a matter of fact, the iconic surrealist photographer Man Ray could have been commissioned to highlight the fine design and tailoring of Schiaparelli’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection. The contemporary photographer and director Nadia Lee Cohen is one of the protagonists of The Surrealist Holiday. Lee Cohen’s work mimics day-to-day life and depicts surrealist characters with a hyper-saturated digital coloration. In this manner, Schiaparelli’s collection is a full circle revival of Surrealism. Again, Schiaparelli includes Surrealist jewelry with exaggerated – and grotesque – body parts such as ears and toes. The artistry, and signature, of Schiaparelli, is to make the unusual seductive and desirable. The revival of Surrealism portraits not only Elsa Schiaparelli, the mother of the haute couture Maison, but also grounds the multi expression of oneself. Schiaparelli’s The Surrealist Holiday collection is seductively classic, deliciously nautical, and funky like the 70s. Daniel Roseberry is here to inspire us to fiercely speak our heart out through the way we dress and decorate.
