CHROMATIK HOUSE by HOMMÉS Studio was one of the disruptive projects selected for the Fuorisalone Award 2022: Mention Communication
On the very first international exhibition of the brand, HOMMÉS Studio was nominated for Fuorisalone Award 2022: Mention Communication. This prize highlights and awards projects that produce a clear and immediate communication design, adopting an inclusive language that embraces human diversity.
In the framework of the Fuorisalone Award 2022 project, made possible with the contribution of the Regione Lombardia, the Special Mentions aim to select and promote projects, events, and contents of relevance for design, qualitatively innovative, and rich in meaning.
These recognitions aim to raise the Design Culture, which is not necessarily evident in its physical and aesthetic expression, but in its deeper content, producing value and offering alternative and increasingly innovative visions.
On the first appearance at an international exhibition of the studio, CHROMATIK HOUSE by HOMMÉS Studio in collaboration with ACH Collection, ACH4Pets, and TAPIS Studio was one of the projects identified by 5 Observers (Clara Bona, Elisa Massoni, Patrizia Scarzella, Walter Terruso and Basil Green Pencil) to compete to win the Special Mention dedicated to the theme of Communication.

ABOUT FUORISALONE AWARD 2022
Fuorisalone Award selects and promotes both the most unforgettable installations on display in Milan, with the Audience Award, and contents, projects, and activities of relevance and interest to the international community, with the Special Mentions.
The public award aims to have a democratic value, as it is decreed on the basis of direct votes from the public. The audience of the Fuorisalone, large and varied every year, is therefore called for the first time to express themselves on the most engaging and exciting installations.
A joint work of a technical committee, made up of some Observers and Jurors, will instead focus on content and projects of relevance for the design community, qualitatively innovative and rich in meaning, which will compete to win the special prizes.
A section therefore of the Award that aims to raise the theme of the Culture of the Project, which does not necessarily manifest itself in its physical and aesthetic expression, but in its deeper content, producing value and offering alternative and increasingly innovative visions.
THE FUORISALONE AWARD 2022 PRIZE
Fuorisalone Award 2022 recognizes the project that best translates and synthesizes the complexity of the activities and relationships that define the Milan Design Week.
This year’s edition is a reading of the four hybrid editions of the past two years. In this unique analysis, the data comes to life in an organic form, thanks to the interpretation of an AI capable of measuring and representing its complexity, returning an image of the Fuorisalone in an original mix that is the physical expression of a digital datum.
The winner of the Fuorisalone Award 2022 is awarded both the physical prize (made in 3D printing) as well as its NFT, through which you can view the Fuorisalone data processing in detail.
The choice of paying an NFT for the prize is determined by the will of Studiolabo, author of Fuorisalone.it, to develop new and innovative communication processes and languages capable of creating a direct relationship with the context, developing the opportunities offered by digital in the best possible way.
The production of the NFT and the management of the digital content of the prize is carried out by Unframed721.
DIVIDED LAYERS BY KOHLER X ARSHAM, WINNER OF FUORISALONE AWARD 2022
Divided Layers is an immersive installation made of a series of stacked panels combined to form a walkable tunnel made by Kohler Co and Daniel Arsham. Each panel references a single plane of the 3D-printed clay that layers together to form the sink. When developing Rock.01, Kohler and Arsham were inspired to create Divided Layers to give guests the ability to move through it.
Within the installation, a pond acts as a mirrored surface to double and reflect the opening of the cavernous volume. Arsham intends for visitors to contemplate the acceptance of space and its malleability, understanding the relationship between volumes. The cadence of the walls mimics the rhythm of the columns within the Palazzo Senato (Via Senato 10) contributing to an entire atmosphere that represents movement or flow.
