THE CONTEMPORARY APARTMENT OF ANNA ZINKOVSKAYA IN MOSCOW
The contemporary apartment of Anna Zinkovskaya in Moscow is the cover of the AD Russia December/January 2022 issue.

The briefing came from Anna Zinkovskaya. To recover a building in the historic center of Moscow. Limited to certain streets, the interior designer Anna Zinkovskaya and her husband found a pearl among the estate of Denis Davydov.

The history of this building, and its series of renovations, left very little from the original aesthete. The apartment of Anna Zinkovskaya in Moscow was built between the late 18th and beginning of the 19th century, only to be burnt down by 1870. At that time, the architect Alexander Ober rebuilt the property, and finally, in the Soviet 1930s, three more floors were added.
After the renovation, Anna Zinkovskaya had finally her canvas to work on – high ceilings, large windows, and a house full of history in the heart of Moscow.
The apartment of Anna Zinkovskaya in Moscow was redesigned to meet the needs of the modern life of the 21st century.
For the renovation, the Russian talent designed a long corridor and placed all the rooms along with it. There is a master suite, two nurseries with their own dressing room and bathroom, an office, a living room, an isolated kitchen, utility rooms, and plenty of storage space.
The master bedroom is a harmonious recreation of the classicism of the 19th century. A vintage chandelier, an upholstered headboard, and carpeted flooring. The nightstand is the Klimt Side Table – a wood marquetry composition designed by Hommés Studio.

Nevertheless, a classic structural fixture was kept – the front living room. The apartment of Anna Zinkovskaya in Moscow is perfect symmetry. A big wall with three floor-to-ceiling windows that light up the main character of this contemporary storyline – the heart of the house, commonly known as the living room.

Perpendicular to this marvelous wall, there are two parallel walls, mirroring each other with different decorative elements. On one side wall, there’s a modern sideboard with a big printed digital collage atop. On the opposite side wall, a 19th-century fireplace portal is sided by Bauhaus-esques two chairs in steel and primary yellow.

The core of the heart of the house, commonly known as the living room, is the Utah Center Table by Hommés Studio. The unapologetic contemporary coffee table mimics the Moab pools of the Utah Desert with a mosaic of marbles.
Surrounded by a curved sofa with clean lines, this comfy seating main character finds on the end of each side a Yves Side Table by Hommés Studio.
The mirror when added to the mirroring modern side tables is a harmonious semicircle.

Even though the renovation of the contemporary apartment of Anna Zinkovskaya in Moscow was completed, the interior designer and her family never moved in.
Anna Zinkovskaya and her husband decided to sell it. Led by family affairs and the curiosity to enter the real estate market. Luckily, the buyers were found in record time – a young couple with two children, who asked Anna Zinkovskaya to decorate the space for them.
The entire interior design project is the cover of AD Russia December/January issue.
